1. What is an Alloy 20 Socket Weld Tee?

An Alloy 20 Socket Weld Tee is a forged pipe fitting used to create a branch connection in piping systems. It uses a socket weld connection and is available in equal and reducing tee configurations .

Alloy 20 Socket Weld Tees are manufactured from Alloy 20 / Carpenter 20 , a nickel-iron-chromium alloy containing molybdenum and copper. The material is identified as UNS N08020 / W.Nr. 2.4660 .

The tee can be supplied in nominal sizes as required and in pressure classes including Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500 , subject to the applicable specification and project requirements.

The dimensional design is generally based on ASME B16.11 , while material requirements can be supplied according to ASTM B366 / ASME SB366 , as applicable.
